Behind the scenes:
Started as a sunny day, blue sky, no clouds whatsoever. I was drinking beer, listening to my playlist and painting this piece. I had no notion that out of the blue to my right there were actually clouds coming to life and forming into a massive thunderstorm. Swipe left to witness. I estimated I had aprox 15 minutes to grab my stuff and hide somewhere. For my surprise my brother came to rescue me and we found a historic 200yo old basement nearby. Thank God we still had about 2.5 litres of beer left + 2 litres that my brother brought with him. So we made a campfire and waited for the storm to stop. After a few good hours we walked back home where I finished the painting from my memory and cellphone picture refferences. Meanwhile bro made the finest grilled chicken in the universe. You wouldn't believe, but a day like this asks for a grand finale, so while we are enjoying the fine chicken, we start seeing smoke coming around the corner and guess what, my brother's self made custom grill is all on fire.
